Frequently Asked Questions
About Our Unique Group Services

Are your groups OAP approved?

Yes! Our groups are led by our dedicated Supervised Therapists, who are given ample time to create creative and engaging program plans. Each group is overseen by a Registered Behavior Analyst, providing direct supervision, team meetings, programming and reports tailored to your learners needs!

What skills are my child required to have for group programming?

We do have prerequisite skill requirements for our group programming. With a group ratio, we need to ensure support for progress and enjoyment for all participants!

Individuals participating in our groups should be:

  • Independent in the washroom
  • Able to follow simple instructions and stay within dedicated space with minimal support
  • Use of emotional regulation strategies, ensuring they can keep themselves and others safe
  • Established communication means, augmentative device/ verbal

How are group participants formed?

Time and time again, our participants are carefully paired to foster genuine friendships that often extend beyond the therapy group! We only run our groups when we have similar peers to ensure meaningful participation. This approach aligns the program with their current skill sets, enhancing enjoyment and creating a sense of belonging in a supportive environment with like-minded peers.

What If My Child Needs More Support But Has Social Goals?

Great question and common among many of our clients! Our centre based 1:1 ABA programming is the perfect setting for them! Whether it’s a 2 hour skill building session or our ongoing ABA programming, centre based programming is the perfect setting to support social goals with other participants!

When Are Groups Offered?

Displayed Confidence!

With the support of group members, you receive not only recognition and encouragement from a therapist but also from the supportive network of peers around you!

Accountability!

Peers play a significant role in supporting, encouraging, and fostering a sense of accomplishment as they work together to build skills and achieve goals.

Results Driven!

Our group programs offer continuous analysis and support, including pre- and post-assessments of skills, all documented in a detailed written report for your review!

Results Driven!

Applicable skills!

Our group programs are designed to develop a wide range of real-world skills. We focus on generalization and target meaningful goals that make a lasting impact.

Lasting BONDS!

Time and time again, our participants are thoughtfully paired to cultivate genuine friendships that often extend beyond the therapy group!

Cost Effective Option!

Direct 1:1 therapeutic programming isn’t always feasible or the right intensity for everyone. Group settings offer a more affordable alternative for learners who can also thrive in this environment.
